H-section profile steel beam:
It can be made of welded steel or hot-rolled I-beam or channel steel. Light-weight beams such as purlins can also be formed by cold-formed Z-shaped steel and channel steel. The steel beam is simple to process and cheaper to manufacture, but the section size of the section steel is limited by certain specifications. When the load and span are large, and the section steel section cannot meet the requirements of strength, stiffness or stability, the composite beam is used.
Composite steel beam:
It is welded or riveted from steel plate or section steel. Due to the cost of riveting, it is often based on welding. The commonly used welded composite beam is a work section and a box section composed of upper and lower flange plates and webs. The latter is relatively expensive and has a complicated manufacturing process, but has large bending rigidity and torsional rigidity. It is suitable for situations where there are lateral loads and high torsional requirements or limited beam height.
